We are looking for photos, stories, names etc of those that have been instrumental in the legacy of Little League in Victoria. Please do not hesitate to contact any of the people listed below as the more we know and the more that come forward the better this event is going to be.

Spring can only mean one thing…..Baseball is just around the corner. Within the next couple of weeks ball fields all across Victoria will be abuzz with the sounds of of summer. The crack of the bat….the roar of the crowd….the smell of concession stands turning out hot dogs and hamburgers. Now all we need is the sun!

National Little League, Victoria’s oldest continuously running baseball program will be celebrating their 60th year this coming May 17, 2013. Not many youth sport organizations can make this claim. Consider the many thousands of youths and volunteers that have been through National LL and how it has affected their lives and help form them into many of today’s outstanding people. There are many still volunteering their time today that played at National in it’s very early years, people like Edd Tomcyzk and Dave Murdoch instantly come to mind.
If you have any stories, photos or contacts of those that have played at National please do not hesitate and call the current President, Alaine Polinsky. Stayed tuned for further information on what is planed for the big 60th celebration.
Congratulations on 60 years and many more to follow!

The events will kick off with a float in the 151st Victoria Day Parade on May 20. Continue reading »

Little League Victoria is in the process of conducting an online survey of those who have played or coached Little League in the Greater Victoria area. Our goal is to establish a list of individuals who have participated over the years. With a 60 year history in the community, we would like to see this list grow and grow. The Little League program has had a positive impact on many thousands of children and adults since the first League was formed at Victoria National and the first game was played on May 12, 1953.

We would appreciate it if you could take a minute or two to complete this survey. Thank you! Continue reading »
